Release Date:

Broken Witt Rebels: Danny Core (vocals), James Tranter (guitar), Luke Davis (bass), James Dudley (drums).

A heady blend of blues, soul, wailing rock guitar and deeply emotive vocals, this award-winning UK outfit have been busy building their profile through a series of EPs, starting with the ‘This Town Belongs To Me’ four-tracker in 2013.

The ‘Howlin’’ and ‘Georgia Pine’ EPs followed swiftly in its wake, the latter featuring both the video track ‘Guns’, now at half a million views on YouTube, plus the single/regular set-opener ‘Low’, ‘Track Of The Week’ on Radio X.

In support of this trio of releases, the four switched between headline shows and high-profile guest appearances, sharing stages with, amongst others, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Kaleo, Whiskey Myers (UK and US) and The Cadillac Three (mainland Europe and Ireland); add to this performances at many of Europe’s primary festivals, the likes of Download, Wacken, Stone Free, Reading and Leeds, Isle Of Wight, Great Escape and Ramblin’ Man Fair, and it’s clear that for BWRs, from Birmingham Rock City, their collective star has been very much on the rise.

Indeed, the only thing really missing from the master-plan was a debut album, and the group – crowned ‘Unsigned Rock Band Of The Year’ at the inaugural Unsigned Music Awards in London (2016) – are delighted to have resolved that situation with the release of an eponymous 10-tracker via the new Snakefarm Records label (a Universal imprint); produced by the band and Tom Gittins, who can include working with Robert Plant on his studio CV, this acclaimed outing matches six songs from the two most recent EPs with four brand new numbers, including lead single / video ‘Wait For You’, the earlier tracks having been remastered to allow them to sit comfortably alongside the recent recordings…

Say Broken Witt Rebels:-

“Our album has been a long time coming. It's a culmination of the past two years of hard work and we couldn't be prouder of what it's become. We've crafted the record to take the listener along our journey so far, and it also marks a milestone in our career as we move from the unsigned world to being with a label. We’re very proud to have signed a deal with Snakefarm Records, and with the Snakefarm team behind us we can't wait to take things to the next level.”

Broken Witt Rebels rounded off 2017 with further headline dates around the UK, plus an appearance at the Planet Rockstock festival in December, and now, in 2018, they’ve been confirmed to join Texan outfit Blue October for a run of major shows in the UK and Europe.
